Eric Legacy

Through his sculptures, Eric Legacy explores his attraction and deutilization of both durable and consumable goods, their aesthetics and how they relate to an anxious consumer-driven society. Inspired by the Futurist, Pop and Fluxist movements, Eric attempts to bring forth his own aesthetic, spatial and sociocultural ideals. The primary intention of his art is to provide a “refreshing kick in the eye” while at the same time unfurling a subversive tentacle in order to provoke question and reaction. Sheets of metal, machine innards, lost and found objects, the banal, disparate and obsolete – systematically, Eric doth gather, dissect, combine and reinvent them to find new meanings and aesthetics through mediums of sculpture and assemblage.
